• Sweet Basil has been setting the standard for dining in Vail since 1977. The foundation for our food is rooted in the belief that great products speak for themselves. That begins with a symbiotic relationship with local farmers and ranchers who provide our kitchen with the freshest ingredients at the peak of flavor and seasonality. We treat those ingredients with a blend of sound classical technique and modern innovation, not to change the ingredient, but to maximize its potential.
  
  
• With Mediterranean, Italian and Asian influences, to name a few, our food is quite versatile to say the least. We find it most accurate to describe ourselves as "a creative contemporary American Restaurant with its foundation in French cooking, utilizing many cultural influences from around the world."

• Sweet Basil is also renowned for its award winning wine-list. Currently with over 500 selections, we truly offer something for everyone. Our goal is to enrich our guests experience through wine, expand and enlighten their selection process when appropriate, and to ensure that all of our service personnel are thoroughly and properly educated and trained when it comes to wine sales and service.
